Custom Kids’ Closets in Devon

Kids’ closets in Devon’s original neighbourhoods are often shallow reach-ins behind bifold doors. We design them to hold more and stay easy for a child to use.

Designed for Devon Homes

Devon is a smaller town on the North Saskatchewan River southwest of Edmonton, with established bungalows and split-levels in its original neighbourhoods and newer subdivisions at the edges of town. Homes here often have less built-in storage than newer suburban builds, which makes every closet count.

Kids’ closets in Devon’s original neighbourhoods are often shallow reach-ins behind bifold doors. We fit them with low hanging, drawers and shelves, so a small closet holds more and stays easy for a child to use.

Our west Edmonton showroom is about 30 minutes from Devon, and we come to you for in-home measuring and installation. Prefer to stay home? Book a design consultation and we will measure your space in Devon.

Making a Small Devon Kids’ Closet Work

Shallow closets cannot hold deep shelving, so we use the full width with low double hanging and narrow shelves or drawers on one side. Short items hang at kid height on the bottom rod; the top rod holds dress clothes and out-of-season items. A low shelf near the door makes a good spot for tomorrow’s outfit or a favourite stuffed animal.

With bifold doors, the whole width opens at once, so a drawer unit in the centre works well. With sliders, keep the most-used items on the side that opens most.
